Wipers speed knob

Got a 2021 Sportage LX and I'm surprised that the auto wipers work better than I expected. However on lighter rain days, the wipers don't kick in as often as they should. I tried using the speed knob like the manual mentions but it doesn't seem to change anything in Auto mode. How does this knob even works??

Yeah, the speed knob in auto mode doesn't change the wipe speed directly, it adjusts the sensitivity of the rain sensor, turning it up makes the wipers react to lighter rain, but it's still not perfect.

That knob at the end of the wiper stalk adjusts the sensitivity of the rain sensor in Auto mode like what @Sam3kk mentioned, turning it up makes the wipers respond faster to light rain, turning it down slows them down. Just make sure the wipers are set to Auto first. Hope that helps!
