Are signal and headlight stalks supposed to be lit?

I have a 2022 Sportage X Line, and the turn signal and headlight stalks aren't lit, just painted labels. For such a tech filled car, its kinda frustrating and unsafe at night when you cant see anything. I didn't notice during the daytime test drive, but now Im stuck with it. Are they even supposed to be backlit?

If I'm not miskaen that feature isn't available in the sportage at all, regardless of the trim. At a certain point you'll get used to it, but you can always look into some aftermarket or diy solutions, if something like this even exists

I know, it can be really frustrating in a modern car. The Sportage X-Line stalks don't have backlighting, only painted labels. I had the same experience and didn't realize it until my first night drive too. Have you checked with your dealer to see if any trim levels or accessories come with illuminated controls? I'm curious to know if there's a solution for that.
